Parma secured a late 1-1 draw against Cagliari in Serie A, extending their unbeaten run to four matches and preventing Cagliari from recording a fourth consecutive head to head victory.
Parma entered the match following a win against AC Milan and were seeking another result to move closer to the top half of the Serie A table. Cagliari created the first clear opportunity after eight minutes. Semih Kilicsoy capitalised on an error inside the penalty area, but his effort was saved by Edoardo Corvi. Sebastiano Esposito attempted to convert the rebound, which was blocked by Enrico Del Prato.
Cagliari continued to threaten. Marco Palestra struck from distance and forced another save from Corvi. Shortly before half time, Mateo Pellegrino reacted to a quick throw into the penalty area and worked space to shoot from close range, but Elia Caprile produced a save to keep the score level.
Parma made two substitutions at the interval in an attempt to change the momentum. However, Cagliari began the second half strongly. Esposito was denied from close range by Caprile as the visitors applied pressure.
Cagliari took the lead shortly after the hour mark. Michael Folorunsho received the ball on the right side and struck from distance, finding the net with one of his first touches of the match.
Parma increased their intensity in the closing stages. Adrián Bernabé forced a save from Corvi with a free kick, and Emanuele Valeri shot narrowly wide from outside the area.
The equaliser arrived late in the match. Substitute Gaetano Oristanio reacted quickly to a loose ball inside the penalty area and directed his effort past Corvi to secure a point for Parma.
The result means Parma are unbeaten in four Serie A matches, with three wins and one draw. Cagliari remain without a victory in their last four league games.
