Lyon entered this match at their Groupama Stadium already feeling the heat, having lost their opening two games of the Ligue 1 season.
Just three minutes in, Swedish winger Sebastian Nanasi put Strasbourg ahead, scoring his first goal since transferring from Malmo.
In first-half stoppage time, Lyon equalized when Corentin Tolisso found the back of the net, marking their first goal of the season after Alexandre Lacazette hit the post.
However, Strasbourg quickly regained the lead after halftime, scoring twice to make it 3-1 just before the hour mark. Andrey Santos, on loan from Chelsea, headed in a goal, followed by Emanuel Emegha’s run to score.
England international Ainsley Maitland-Niles swiftly responded for Lyon, pulling it back to 3-2 after a Lacazette shot was tipped onto the crossbar.
Nigerian striker Orban then took the spotlight, converting a Lacazette cross to equalize in the 64th minute. He later headed in a cross from substitute Malick Fofana to secure the winning goal in the 72nd minute.
With this victory, Lyon earned their first points of the season on a day when they aimed to raise funds by selling several players before the transfer window closed.

Belgian midfielder Orel Mangala left on loan to Everton, who are being pursued for a takeover by Lyon’s American owner, John Textor.
Strasbourg is owned by BlueCo, the same group that manages Chelsea, and they have been among the biggest spenders in France during the summer transfer window.
Santos was one of three players from Chelsea to play for Strasbourg in Lyon, while a fourth, Serbian goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, joined on loan earlier on Friday.
Reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain, one of four teams in Ligue 1 with six points after the first two matches, will visit Lille on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille will face Toulouse on Saturday.
