Nemanja Matic will wear the Roma jersey from next season, said the well-informed Fabricio Romano, who referred to the sources of his colleague Gianluca di Marcia.
Matic will again cooperate with Jose Mourinho, who coached him at Chelsea and then at Manchester United.
Matic is coming to Roma as a free agent, since his contract with United has expired.
The former member of the Serbian national team will soon undergo medical examinations and borrow the jersey of the current champion of the League of Conferences.
Matic started his career in Kolubara, then played in Kosice, while in 2009 he signed for Chelsea. However, he did not play in his first term in London and from 2011 to 2014 he wore the Benfica jersey.
Chelsea brought him back in 2014. In the next three seasons, he was one of the most important players of the “blues”, and from 2017 to 2022, he defended the colors of Manchester United.
