MANCHESTER UNITED: The purge at Old Trafford begins

Erik ten Hag, coach of Manchester United, decided to waive six players at the end of the season.

Defeat at Newcastle on Sunday saw Manchester slip to fourth in the Premier League, one point above Tottenham, who have one game less, with a fierce deficit for a top-four spot looming before the end of the season.

The United coach is planning big changes in the playing staff at the end of the season, and he has already made a transfer list with six players. In question are Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, Dean Henderson, Brandon Williams and Alex Telles, the media from the Island reported.

Maguire arrived at Manchester United from Leicester four years ago for as much as 87 million euros, and he is currently out of shape, which is why he is on the back burner at Ten Haag, even though he is the captain of the “Red Devils”.

Martial played only 490 minutes in the Premier League this season, while Sancho lost his place in the starting lineup even though he was paid as much as 85 million euros two years ago.

Goalkeeper Henderson, as well as defenders Williams and Telles, are also on the list of write-offs. Manchester United paid around 250 million euros in compensation for these six football players.
