Victoria Hotspurs F.C. will play a friendly match against Italian side Reggina 1914 as part of their pre-season training camp in Gambarie, Italy, from 26 to 31 July 2025.
The match will be a highlight of the camp, giving the Gozitan club a valuable opportunity to test themselves against a team with a rich history and strong following in southern Italy. Reggina 1914, known for their past success in Italian football, offer tough opposition and an exciting challenge for the Hotspurs.
Club President Dr Anton Tabone said:
“We’re honoured to be playing against a club like Reggina 1914. This friendly match will be a special moment for our players and staff and will add even more value to our pre-season preparations.”
The training camp, taking place in the scenic village of Gambarie in the Aspromonte mountains, will include a 35-member squad made up of players, technical staff, and support personnel. Under the guidance of Head Coach and Technical Director Oliver Spiteri, the team will focus on physical fitness, tactical work, and team bonding. The camp will also serve to welcome and integrate new players ahead of the 2025–2026 season.
