Floriana FC has remained active even in the last days of the summer transfer market, as they recently announced the acquisition of defensive midfielder Emerson Santos de Souza.
The Brazilian, who is 26 years old, at 18 had moved to Portugal with the B team of giants Porto, but then was loaned to Fafe in the second division of the same country during the 2018/19 season.
From the 2019/20 season onwards, Emerson Souza returned to Brazil, where he gained valuable experience, most recently with Duque de Caxias Futebol Clube in Serie C.
