The entire nation of Malta is in mourning following the passing away of remarkable young individual, Jake Vella, who sadly left us this morning at the tender age of 15.
In spite of his rare and severe condition, which greatly hindered his ability to shed weight, Jake served as an emblem of unwavering determination and resilience. He continued to engage in sports activities and ardently championed causes that were close to his heart, particularly those related to animal welfare.
Upon hearing the news, social media platforms were inundated with messages, many of which highlighted Jake’s courage in the face of his diagnosis.
While conveying their condolences, Aims – The Authority For Integrity In Maltese Sport described Jake as a tenacious fighter who defied his fate, ensuring that each and every moment of his life served as an inspiration to those who knew him and the entire Maltese community.
Numerous organizations, including SportMalta and the Malta Sports Journalist Association, have extended their condolences to Jake Vella’s family.
