Luis Figo enjoys life and football. The legendary Portuguese helped set a world record, that is, for a football match that was played at the highest altitude – exactly 6166.1 meters, of course in zero gravity conditions.
The former Sporting, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter football player was part of a team made up of participants from the Middle East, Europe and South America in order to tackle an unprecedented feat. Football was actually played in a large airplane on an improvised field of 75 square meters.
The match ended with Figo’s team winning 2:1, and the Portuguese scored the first goal in this extremely unusual game.
