The English Football Association (FA) today charged Liverpool’s German manager Jurgen Klopp for his outburst in the game against Manchester City on Sunday!
Klopp was sent off after storming out of his coaching area and vociferously protesting to the assistant referee.
– The Liverpool manager’s behavior during the 86th minute of this match was inappropriate – the FA announced today.
Klopp apologized for his behavior after the match.
– It’s about emotions, so I’m justifiably excluded. My mistake. I crossed the line in an instant. I know myself, I’m 55 years old and I deserved a red card – said the Reds’ strategist after the match.
The German has until October 21 to respond to the charges. After the response, the FA will make a decision on the penalty, which can be a ban from matches and a fine.
