Leeds United F.C. moved closer to Premier League safety with a comfortable 3–0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. at Elland Road.
Full of confidence after their recent win at Old Trafford, Leeds made a strong start and took the lead in the 18th minute. Wolves failed to clear a corner from Ao Tanaka, and after a scramble in the box, James Justin scored with an overhead kick.
Leeds quickly doubled their advantage just two minutes later. A fast attack down the right saw Brenden Aaronson deliver a low cross, which Noah Okafor finished from close range to continue his good scoring form.
Wolves improved slightly after that and created a few chances, but Leeds were still in control and had more shots on target in the first half. In the second half, Wolves came close through Ladislav Krejčí, but his header was easily saved by Karl Darlow.
The visitors thought they had scored late on when Adam Armstrong lobbed the goalkeeper, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Leeds then sealed the win in the closing minutes, as Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a penalty after being fouled by Hugo Bueno.

Wolves rarely looked like getting a result and now face almost certain relegation, while Leeds will take confidence from this win as they prepare for their upcoming FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea F.C..
