Aston Villa came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the Premier League, marking their third win in the last four visits to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea started strongly, creating early chances through Cole Palmer and Moisés Caicedo, but the Blues were unable to convert. Reece James’ corner eventually found João Pedro, who scored in the 37th minute to give Chelsea the lead. Matty Cash was booked and will miss the next match against Arsenal.
After the break, Aston Villa turned the game around. Ollie Watkins first scored after a rebound from the Chelsea goalkeeper, then later headed home in the 84th minute to seal the victory. Despite losing Boubacar Kamara to a yellow card, Villa kept their momentum and claimed their 11th consecutive league win, staying just three points behind the Premier League leaders.
Chelsea, on the other hand, suffered their first defeat in four matches and sit fifth for now.
