Wolves came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford, picking up only their third Premier League point of the season.
United started brightly without fully convincing, creating early chances through Luke Shaw and Benjamin Šeško. Wolves also showed promise, with Hwang Hee-chan going close but failing to hit the target.
The hosts took the lead just before the half-hour mark, with a slice of luck. Joshua Zirkzee’s flick bounced back off Ladislav Krejčí, allowing him to fire a deflected shot past José Sá. United then pushed for a second goal, with Šeško hitting the post and Patrick Dorgu seeing an effort deflected wide.
Wolves continued to create chances and were rewarded just before half-time. Krejčí made up for his earlier mistake by rising highest to head past the goalkeeper and level the score.
After the break, United pressed for a winner and created several opportunities, but Sá and the Wolves defence stood firm. Wolves also threatened on the counter and needed a last-ditch block from Diogo Dalot to keep the scores level.
United thought they had won it late on, but a goal was ruled out for offside. The draw ends Wolves’ long losing run, while Manchester United will see this as a missed chance to climb the table.
