Jobe Bellingham is set to leave Sunderland and sign for Borussia Dortmund, just like his older brother Jude did. The deal is said to be worth around £31 million, including bonuses, and Jobe will sign a five-year contract with the German club.
The 19-year-old midfielder helped Sunderland win promotion to the Premier League and was named Championship Young Player of the Season after scoring 11 goals and making 4 assists in 90 matches. Sunderland also secured a 15% sell-on clause in case he is sold again in the future.
If all bonuses are met, it will be Sunderland’s biggest ever player sale — even more than when they sold Jordan Pickford to Everton in 2017.
For Dortmund, it would also be their most expensive signing ever, more than they paid for Ousmane Dembélé in 2016.

Jobe follows in Jude’s footsteps by joining Dortmund, a club known for developing young players. He reportedly chose Dortmund over offers from RB Leipzig, Eintracht Frankfurt, and some Premier League clubs.
Dortmund hope to register him in time for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which starts in mid-June.
