Yesterday, the Maltese teams were in action for the first time at the Blackball Nations Cup being held in Bridlington, England. They won five out of the eight matches played.
The men’s A team started well with a dominant 21-4 win over Gibraltar, but narrowly lost 13-12 to Northern Ireland.
The men’s B team also had a close match but were unlucky to lose 13-12 to Australia, missing out on any points.
The Masters team got off to a great start, beating Gibraltar 18-7.
Both Seniors teams also played. Team A lost 13-12 to Northern Ireland but bounced back with a 16-9 win against South Africa. Meanwhile, Team B picked up two wins: 19-12 against Ireland and 14-11 against Wales.
