After information appeared in the media yesterday that Gianmarco Pozzecco is the new coach of French ASVEL, today we received official confirmation.
This will be Pozzecco’s first independent experience as a coach of a club from the Euroleague, and he will continue to perform the function of Italy’s coach.
ASVEL had a bad start to the new season in the Euroleague, so they haven’t won in four games.
The Italian will have his first match on the bench of the French team against Virtus from Bologna when they host his team in the fifth round.
The president of the French club, Tony Parker, did not hide his satisfaction with his arrival.

In his previous career, Pozzecco sat on the bench of Orlandina, Varese, Fortitude from Bologna, Dinamo Sassari, and worked as an assistant for Cedevita and Olimpia from Milan.
