NBA ALL-STAR 2023: The lowest viewership in history

This year’s NBA All-Star match had the lowest viewership in the history of the best basketball league in the world, according to American media.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team defeated LeBron James’ team 184:175 in the match played in Salt Lake City.

The “sports media watch” agency reports that this match was the lowest-rated and least-watched in the history of the NBA. A total of 4.59 million people watched this event on TNT and TBS televisions with an average rating of only 2.2.

The main reason for this is that Antetokounmpo left the court in the first minute due to a wrist injury, and LeBron did not play in the second half. Also, Steph Curry, who is one of the favorite basketball players in the United States, was not on the floor.

Last year’s NBA All-Star match was watched by about 6.28 million, and its rating was 3.1. Compared to last year, ratings for this year’s All-Star show dropped by 29% and viewership by 27%.
