Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone spoke about the dedication of NBA MVP Nikola Jokic and his desire to help the national team.
The American coach believes that the Serbian center did his best at this year’s Eurobasket, but that it was not enough this time.
“I watched many games if not all. Obviously a tough defeat against Italy, there were a lot of talented teams there, and unfortunately, Serbia didn’t manage to advance,” said Malone.
As for Jokic’s advocacy for the national team, the Nuggets coach believes that the Serbian center did his best.
“Of course, Nikola did his best, he left everything on the floor. He tried to get the team on his back, but it wasn’t enough. I am proud of Nikola for his effort and dedication in helping the Serbian national team,” concluded Meloun.
