Hungarian representative Adam Hanga, who plays for Real Madrid, commented on the departure of former coach Pablo Laso.
Let’s remember that Laso suffered a heart attack during this year and was thus removed from the position of head of the professional staff.
The Spanish coach spent 11 years at Real, and during the last season, he played in the final of the Euroleague and won the domestic championship.
Real’s team cardiologist believed that the Spaniard should not lead the team due to his health condition because it would bring him too much stress and effort, while on the other hand, Laso himself later stated that he did not agree with that statement and that he had received confirmation from a doctor that he can lead the team.
“It was an unfortunate set of circumstances. The first heart attack, and then the departure. I don’t know what happened between the management and Pablo, but it was certainly not done in the best way, especially after what happened and how we played,” said Hanga.
“It was a difficult season. For Pablo, probably one of the most difficult. We lost a lot of games, and we struggled, but in the end, we made every possible final and won the championship. It was a bad situation, but we have to move on”.
