Davis Bertans was part of a big trade between Dallas and Washington, where the Latvians exchanged these two clubs. The new teammate of the former Partizan player will be Luka Doncic, about whom he had words of praise!
The Latvian basketball player did not get the expected minutes during this season, so as he says, the trade-in Dallas will be pleasant for him.
His teammate from the national team, Kristaps Porzingis, went in the opposite direction.
When he arrived in Texas, the former Wizards player revealed his expectations.
– I haven’t played much in the last month. I had a lot of time to dedicate to training. I feel that I am in good shooting form – said Bertans.
As he says, he is happy with the cooperation with Luka Dončić.
– I am not a player who can take the ball in his hands and create for himself. If my teammates don’t give me a good position to shoot, it’s hard for me to find the rhythm. It’s hard for percentages to be high if I kick once every 10 or 15 minutes. It will certainly be interesting to play with Luka Dončić in Dallas – the new Dallas player concluded.
Bertans’ debut is expected in the game against Miami on February 16.
