The Dallas Mavericks team celebrated in their American Airlines Center, over the Brooklyn Nets, with a score of 96:94, and Luka Doncic recorded his 9th consecutive 30+ point game.
Brooklyn entered the match very well, in the middle of the first part they led by 11:25, only for the host to wake up in the continuation and reach a turnaround already at halftime.
The tenacious Nets didn’t give up, so in the sequel, they regained the advantage, at the beginning of the last part, the score was 74:78 in favor of the guests from New York.
Dallas turned the game around with a 14:0 series and took a +10 lead in the 5th minute before the end. However, Brooklyn responded with triples by Thomas, Harris and O’Neale and at the last minute returned the uncertainty of the result. Fouls and free throws on both sides followed, so in the end, Dallas won with a score of 96:94.
For the Mavericks, the fantastic Luka Doncic was, traditionally, the most effective player, who scored 36 points, and recorded 6 rebounds and 6 assists. It was also the 9th game in a row where the great Slovenian international scored 30+ points.
In Brooklyn, Kevin Durant had 26 points and 4 rebounds and assists. Cam Thomas, off the bench, added 19, and Ncik Claxton recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Dallas reached its 6th victory, along with its 3rd loss, and Brooklyn registered its 7th defeat of the season, in addition to its 4th victory.
In the next round, the Mavericks visit Orlando, while the Nets will play a city derby against the Knicks.
