Aidan Tanti and Rosalie Borg Cauchi take top spots in 5k races
Mark Herrera and Josanne Attard Pulis showed their strength once again by winning the 10k race at the Hudson Race Series Burmarrad Edition held on Sunday morning.
The event took place on Burmarrad’s flat and fast course which continues to attract a wide range of runners looking for personal bests and strong competition.
In the men’s 10k Herrera finished well ahead of the field with a time of 33 minutes and 3 seconds Stefan Sultana came second in 35 minutes and 37 seconds and Jeremy Curmi placed third in 37 minutes.
In the women’s 10k Attard Pulis delivered another strong run winning in 40 minutes and 50 seconds Donatella Fenech was second with 48 minutes and 17 seconds while Anna Haider finished third in 49 minutes and 24 seconds.
The 5k race was more closely contested Aidan Tanti took first place in 15 minutes and 24 seconds followed by Clayton Abela in 15 minutes and 44 seconds and Brandon Saliba in 16 minutes and 4 seconds.
In the women’s 5k Rosalie Borg Cauchi ran a personal best of 18 minutes and 3 seconds to win. She was closely followed by Lisa Bezzina making her return to the series with a time of 18 minutes and 32 seconds and Marija Cumbo who came third in 18 minutes and 39 seconds.
Trophies and prizes were presented by Race Director Charlie Demanuele who said:
The Hudson Race Series continues to showcase Malta’s strong running scene bringing together experienced athletes and new faces in a competitive but friendly environment.
Organisers thanked the Hudson Group for their support along with St Paul’s Bay Local Council and Transport Malta.
The final race of the 2025 Hudson Race Series powered by Nike will be the Valletta Edition taking place on 8 December.
