An incident that could have ended tragically occurred during the Youth Championship match between Floriana FC and Birkirkara F.C. when a Floriana supporter suffered a heart attack during the game.
According to information available, first aid was administered at the Centenary Stadium by paramedics and physiotherapists present for the match, who even had to use a defibrillator to stabilise the individual.

The fan was eventually transported to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the Malta Football Association thanked everyone who assisted the person who suffered the heart attack.
The match between Floriana and Birkirkara concluded in a 2-2 draw.
