Fourteen-year-old Amy Catania, one of Malta’s most exciting young footballers, is heading to Italy for a trial with the Under-17 team of Inter Milan.
Amy plays for Hibernians and has already stood out with strong performances in youth matches for both her club and Malta. She’s even trained with Hibernians’ senior team this pre-season.
Last season Amy Catania was a key player in Hibernian’s U15 league success.
During her week in Italy, she’ll also take part in a friendly game against Como’s Primavera team. The experience will give her a taste of high-level football abroad.
The trial was set up with the help of Sports Pro Management and Consultancy, the same agency that represents Malta international Haley Bugeja.
It’s a big opportunity for Amy, and a great chance to show what she can do on an international stage.
