THE RETURN OF THE CAPTAIN: Papapetrou back in Athens?

Greek basketball player Ioannis Papapetrou could leave Partizan at the end of the season and return to Panathinaikos, for which he played four years before coming to Belgrade.

After the failure in the Euroleague, the Greens are already starting with plans for the next season, and one of the priorities should be the former captain, Ioannis Papapetrou.

In the ranks of the Greek giant, they believe that the main problem of the club’s bad results is the insufficient number of domestic basketball players, so the Partizan player would be the ideal solution for the next season.

This news appeared before the arrival of Panathinaikos in Belgrade, where the Athenian will play a match in the last round of the regular part of the Euroleague against the current team Ioannis.

Papapetrou is averaging 5.1 points and 2.5 rebounds in the Euroleague this season, and before Panathinaikos, he spent five years in the ranks of the eternal rival – Olympiakos.

The match in “Stark Arena” between Partizan and Panathinaikos is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 p.m.
