GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks got back to winning ways in the National Hockey Championship, beating White Hart 10-3.
Żurrieq came into the match on the back of a 7-4 defeat to Qormi and were keen to make amends. They started brightly, taking a 2-0 lead, but White Hart fought back to level things up by half-time. However, Żurrieq took control in the second half, dominating the third and fourth quarters to run out comfortable winners.
Alessandro Amore was the standout performer with four goals, whilst Jayden Cutajar chipped in with two. Christ Agius, Lukas Plaehn, Daniel Ellul and Stefano Schembri also got on the scoresheet. For White Hart, David Agius, Wyatt Magri and Glenn Bonello each scored once. The match was officiated by umpire Karl Chircop.
In the Hockey 7s competition, Qormi Daikin edged past GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks 4-3 in a hard-fought contest. Wyatt Magri scored twice, with Julian Zahra and Ayrton Falzon also netting. Nicolai Runza, Daniel Ellul and Jayden Cutajar replied for Żurrieq. Karl Chircop and Shane Lovett were the umpires.

In the Under-14 Championship, Qormi Daikin ran riot against Floriana Young Stars B, winning 10-0. Zackary Farrugia helped himself to a hat-trick, whilst Zain Lee Carabott, Eyen Toledano and Sam Cassar each scored twice. Zack Xuereb added the tenth. Yan Camilleri and Xylon Cassar were in charge.
Also in the Under-14s, Marsascala Heat beat De La Salle Youngstars 2-0, with Liam Carabott scoring both goals. Alessandro Amore and Karl Chircop officiated.
