Galatasaray have officially presented Victor Osimhen after completing his permanent transfer from Napoli, in what is now the most expensive deal in Turkish football history.
The Turkish champions paid a reported €75 million for the Nigerian striker, far surpassing the previous Super Lig transfer record of around €20 million, set when Youssef En Nesyri joined Fenerbahce last summer.
Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, helping the team win both the league title and the Turkish Cup. He also had an outstanding personal campaign, ending the season as the top scorer with 26 league goals and breaking the all-time record for goals scored in a season by a foreign player in Turkey, with 36 in total.
Despite interest from top European clubs and Saudi side Al Hilal, Osimhen chose to return to Istanbul. He arrived on Wednesday evening, and Galatasaray’s social media channels followed his flight live, showing just how important the move was for the club and its supporters. He was welcomed by a large crowd of fans at the airport.
The club formally presented Osimhen soon after his arrival.

Osimhen had joined Napoli in 2020 and was a key part of their Serie A title-winning squad in 2022/23. After tensions with the Italian side last season, Galatasaray moved quickly to first bring him in on loan, and have now made the move permanent.
He returns to Galatasaray with high expectations and the chance to further cement his place as one of the most exciting players in Turkish football.
