NOVAK ON THE SEMI-FINALS: I don't want to be arrogant, but of course, I feel that I am the favorite

Novak Djokovic, after reaching the Wimbledon semifinals, touched on the topic of favorites, but he also mentioned his next opponent.

The currently second player in the world defeated the Russian Andrey Rublev 4:6, 6:1, 6:4, 6:3 in two hours and 48 minutes of play and thus scheduled a duel with the Italian Jannik Sinner.

“I don’t want to be arrogant, but of course, I feel that I am the favorite. Judging by the results I had in my career and at the last four Wimbledons, I consider myself the favorite,” Novak answered honestly.

Then he commented on Jannik Sinner.

“We often played almost at the same time, I watched his first set now. He likes to play fast surfaces, he wants to be aggressive. He hits hard from his forehand and backhand, he likes to dictate, I know his game. He is young, of course, his progress is expected, especially on the serve. A complete player, I really can’t wait for the match, just to recover. He will be motivated, just like me, so we will see what can happen”, Djokovic pointed out.
