As his time as President of the Portuguese Swimming Federation is now approching the end, Antonio Silva expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported and collaborated with him during his 12-year tenure.
“As I approach the end of my term as President of the Portuguese Swimming Federation, I want to express my sincere gratitude for all your support, dedication and collaboration throughout the years.
During these 12 years, I had the privilege of working with a wide network of partners and institutions that, with dedication, commitment, and passion, contributed to the development of swimming in Portugal. Your collaboration has been essential to the successes achieved, not only in the pools, but also in promoting values such as inclusion, sports ethics, and team spirit.
As we close this 12-year cycle, I share with you the Book of Legacy and Retrospective (2012-2024), which documents the major milestones, initiatives, and achievements that we achieved together. This document aims not only to preserve the memory of this period, but also to serve as inspiration for the future of swimming in Portugal.”
Reflecting on his time as President, Silva added, “I leave this post with a feeling of pride for the way we have come and the certainty that together we have built a strong foundation for the future. Teamwork and sharing common goals have shown that together, we can overcome challenges and achieve great things.”
Silva concluded by expressing confidence in the future of swimming in Portugal: “I deeply thank everyone who, directly or indirectly, contributed to making this journey so enriching and meaningful. I will continue to follow, with enthusiasm, the future of swimming and national sport, and I’m sure it is in good hands. Good luck and good job Miguel Arrobas and team.”
