The prestigious American publication Forbes has listed the LifeStar Malta Marathon as one of the top 12 marathons to consider in 2025, particularly for athletes who enjoy travelling to participate in races. The marathon, scheduled for 23 February 2025, will also mark the event’s 40th anniversary.
Forbes, known for its coverage of global topics such as economics, culture, and travel, highlighted the Malta Marathon’s scenic route and its challenging yet rewarding nature. In an article published on its official website, the magazine emphasised that the race offers participants breathtaking views and a unique course designed to challenge even experienced runners.

The LifeStar Malta Marathon will join a prestigious list of marathons featured by Forbes, including some of the world’s most iconic races:

- Boston Marathon on 21 April
- Vancouver Marathon on 4 May

The Malta Marathon’s route starts from Mdina, situated 623 feet above sea level, and takes runners through various villages before concluding at the coast. The course is predominantly downhill, making it accessible to a variety of athletes while still providing a challenge. Both the full marathon and half marathon follow routes that showcase Malta’s rich history, architecture, and coastal beauty.
