The Adidas Eurosport TERREX Trail Running League began its 2026 season with an exciting launch on Sunday, 25 January, at Wied Qirda. The inaugural race provided a memorable start to the league, attracting athletes from across Malta and beyond.
Set in one of the island’s most scenic valleys, the course challenged runners with technical terrain, steep climbs, and fast descents, all framed by stunning natural surroundings. The race highlighted the growing popularity of trail running and the strong sense of community among participants.
“This first race has set the benchmark for what the Adidas Eurosport TERREX Trail Running League is all about; challenge, community, camaraderie, and the spirit of the outdoors,” said Warren Muscat, President of Agones SFC.
Race day attracted a strong turnout of runners who tested their limits across rugged trails. Dedicated volunteers and organisers ensured the event ran smoothly, creating a high-energy atmosphere throughout the day.
