Gozo is set to host the landmark 50th edition of its celebrated annual half marathon on Sunday, April 27, 2025. First launched in 1977 by a group of young volunteers from the Xagħra Youth Centre, the Gozo Half Marathon – Il-Ġirja t’Għawdex – has grown into the island’s largest and longest-running athletic event, welcoming participants from across Malta and around the world.

The Lifestar Malta Marathon 2025 is set to take place on Sunday, 23rd February, marking the 40th edition of the prestigious race. With 5,100 athletes from 80 countries registered, the event promises thrilling competition and a celebration of long-distance running.
