Mayweather Jr has used Instagram to reveal the eagerly awaited rematch with John Gotti III. After much speculation, Mayweather has finally shared details about his upcoming fight. Last year’s match ended controversially, prompting the need for a rematch to resolve the lingering tension.
The initial fight on June 11 ended in chaos, but talks for a second bout began once things settled.
Mayweather shared a preliminary fight poster for an event in Mexico City on 24 August, initially indicating Victor Ortiz as his opponent.
Nonetheless, this fight did not materialise. According to Mayweather‘s latest update, the date and location remain the same, but his opponent will be John Gotti III.
The promotional materials show Mayweather and Gotti III poised to clash, with DAZN set to broadcast the event live.
