It was indeed a great weekend for the young Maltese triathlete Kai Azzopardi by winning two medals, gold and silver, in an important international competition.
Azzopardi won the gold medal during the European Multisport Championships in Ciombra in Portugal. The Maltese triathlete did this in the Aquathlon competition in the 16-19 age group.
This success came shortly after the same Kai Azzoppardi won silver in the same Multisport European Championships, when he finished in second place in the age group between 16-19 years. The Maltese triathlete did this in the Duathlon competition Here Kai managed to finish with the first 15 triathletes out of a total of 360.
