Agones SFC athletes compete at Lago Maggiore Marathon in Italy

Agones SFC athletes took part in the Lago Maggiore Marathon, racing across multiple distances against the scenic backdrop of northern Italy’s famous lake. Favourable conditions helped several team members register personal bests in their respective categories.

Club president Warren Muscat said the annual overseas trips are designed to motivate members to stay active and to experience high quality international events beyond the Maltese Islands. “These events not only give our athletes the chance to perform abroad, they also strengthen camaraderie and team spirit within the club,” Muscat noted.

Through its Zero to Hero Training Programme, Agones SFC continues to introduce and guide new members into sport and physical activity each year, offering structured training in running, swimming, cycling, triathlon and multisport. Newcomers join an established community of Agones athletes, creating a strong and vibrant environment that supports the club’s continued growth.

This trip was made possible with the support of SportMalta, whose assistance plays a vital role in providing local athletes with valuable international opportunities.
