The Maltese national hockey team looses second match against Italy

The Maltese national hockey team suffered a 12-0 defeat against Italy in their second qualifying match for the Euro Hockey Division B.

The Italians came out strong on the attack and were already leading 6-0 by the end of the second quarter.

Geronimo Clement scored four goals, while Davide Giuliani, Dario Saoncella, and Luca Valentino each contributed with a brace. Felix Dionisi and Davide Arosio also added their names to the scoresheet for the Italians.

The Maltese team will play their final game for seventh and eighth place tomorrow morning at 9:15 am against Luxembourg.

In another match yesterday, Turkey defeated Luxembourg 4-1.

Meanwhile, today’s semi-finals will see Wales taking on the Czech Republic, while Ireland will face Poland as the visiting team.
