Qormi Daikin secured a place in the final of the KO hockey competition after defeating Floriana Young Stars 4-2 in a hard-fought semifinal.
After leading 2-0 by the end of the first quarter, Qormi conceded a goal in the second quarter, allowing Floriana to get back into the game.
Nevertheless, Qormi remained focused and scored two more goals, with the Greens managing to reduce the deficit once again, though they were ultimately eliminated.
Luke Bajada scored twice for Qormi, with Ayrton Falzon and Steve Tanti adding further goals for their team.
Thimo Van Hoort and Ali Rizwan were the scorers for the Greens.
Qormi will now play the final of the KO competition against GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks. The match will be held at the Hockey Complex in Kordin this Saturday and is scheduled to start at 6pm.
