Qormi Daikin win Hockey 7s League

Qormi Daikin continued with their positive season as they clinched another honour after winning the Hockey 7s when they beat their direct rivals GREE Żurrieq Hotsticks 5-2.

The Yellow/Blacks were always in command of the game with the Żurrieq side who made some defensive mistakes that resulted in this defeat.

Nathan Pace Gasan was the hero for Qormi when he scored a hat-trick while Wyatt Magri and Ayrton Falzon added the score for their team.

The Wolves scored their goals thanks to a brace from young player Jayden Cutajar.

At the end of the match, the president of the Maltese Hockey Association Gordon Mifsud presented the cup to Qormi Daikin’s Giorgio Muscat.

Umpires: David Agius and Edward Hughes.

In another match that had no interest for the standings, Floriana Young Stars beat Rabat 5-3.

The Greens established a four goal lead until the end of the third quarter so that in the fourth quarter, Rabat reduced the scoring margin although it was not enough for them.

Marvin Grixti, Verner Cachia, Oscar Toledano, Justin Farrugia and Noah Ciavola scored for Floriana with Rabat having Kevin Micallef scoring twice with Karl Brincau adding another.

Umpires were Glen Bonello and David Agius.
