The first Under-21 Snooker Ranking Event of the new season took place on Saturday at the Malta Snooker Academy, with several young players beginning their campaign in strong form.

Xavier was the standout performer of the session, securing two wins from two matches. He edged past Jake Castaldi in a tight 2–1. Castaldi than won the contest with a confident display to defeat Andrei Cini 2–0.

Elsewhere, Dante Pace positively opened his season, overcoming Carl Casha 2–0 in a composed performance.
The event forms part of a wider development programme aimed at giving Malta’s emerging snooker talent consistent competition and ranking structure. Further fixtures in the series will continue in the coming weeks.
