Reigning champions Luxol St Andrew’s staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the University of Malta 5-3 in an entertaining encounter from the Enemed Futsal Premier League.

The Universitarians initially raced into a two-goal lead with strikes from Steven Camilleri and Jose Cristian Fernandez. However, Gabriel Dobre’s side responded brilliantly, overturning the deficit with a five-goal blitz.
Jefferson Breno, Everton Veve, Luke Gatt, Marwan Telisi, and Emil Raducu were all on target for Luxol, securing a vital three points. Despite Steven Camilleri adding a second goal for the University late on, it wasn’t enough to prevent defeat.

Ta’ Xbiex fight back to overcome Marsaskala
Ta’ Xbiex Futsal also had to come from behind to secure a 5-3 victory against a determined Marsaskala Futsal side.
The Seasouthsiders made a bright start and twice held the lead, but Ta’ Xbiex remained focused on collecting all three points to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.
Giancarlo Sammut netted twice for Ta’ Xbiex, while Juan Bautista Conde, Liam Caruana, and an own goal by Sean Parnis completed the scoring.
Marsaskala responded through a brace from Amir Ashtiyani and a goal by Hugo Vinicius, but ultimately fell short.

Ħamrun SC dominate in Challenger League
In the Enemed Futsal Challenger League, Ħamrun SC Futsal NCMB cruised to a comprehensive 7-0 win over the Malta Under-19 national selection.
The Reds dominated from the outset, racing to a four-goal lead by half-time before controlling proceedings in the second half.
Amin Louati and Gia Nikvashvili each scored twice, while Hamza Harrat, David Bobokhidze, and Ishmail Buhagiar also found the net in a commanding team performance.
