With European qualifiers underway, Maltese clubs now know who they could face if they progress to the next round of their respective competitions.
Ħamrun Spartans, currently facing Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, could meet either FC Pafos of Cyprus or Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel in the third round.

The first leg against Dynamo Kyiv is set for Tuesday at the Tony Bezzina Stadium. The Spartans have already made history by becoming the first Maltese club to reach this stage under UEFA’s new format.
Meanwhile, in the UEFA Conference League, both Floriana and Hibernians are gearing up for key matches this week.
If Floriana overcome Ballkani of Kosovo, they will meet either St. Joseph’s of Gibraltar or Shamrock Rovers from Ireland in the third qualifying round.
Hibernians, who face Spartak Trnava of Slovakia this Thursday, would go on to play the winner between Sarajevo of Bosnia and Romanian side Universitatea Craiova if they get through.
