Maltese athlete Alister Camilleri delivered a standout performance at the Hyrox North American Championships held in Washington, achieving a 6th place finish in the highly competitive Under-24 category while placing 62nd overall among more than 1,500 athletes.
The Hyrox Championships, considered one of the leading functional fitness and endurance competitions worldwide, attracted top athletes from across North America and beyond. Participants faced a demanding course that combined multiple running segments with strength and endurance challenges, including rowing, sled pushes, burpee broad jumps, wall balls, and more.
Camilleri’s result was particularly noteworthy as he recorded one of the fastest cumulative times during the running portions of the event, underlining his strong endurance capabilities. His effort placed him among the best young competitors on the international circuit and marked an important achievement for Maltese representation at this level.
