The President of Malta, Myriam Spiteri Debono, met with the athletes who represented Malta at the Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra, where they achieved the country’s best-ever medal results in an edition held abroad.
The meeting took place at San Anton Palace, and the athletes were joined by their coaches and officials from the Maltese Olympic Committee.
During her speech, the President praised the athletes for their determination, strength, and perseverance, calling them an example for the people of Malta and Gozo. She also thanked everyone who supported the athletes in helping to raise Malta’s name internationally and congratulated them on their success.
