University of Malta ACJ Group grab 13 win on the run

University of Malta ACJ Group achieved their 13th victory of the season in the Enemed Premier League when they beat ŻRQ Bormla 6-4.

It was not an easy game for the University students who saw their opponents motivated where they reduced the scoring margin and even equalized the score.Despite everything, the last moments belonged to the University players who, spurred on by the experienced player Melvin Borg, reached the final success.Borg was the author of three goals with Guilherme Fonseca, Steven Camilleri and Gia Nikvashvili also among the scorers.The reaction of the Cospicua side came after a double by Karl Luke Schembri and goals by Bruno de Souza and Rodrigo da Silva.Referees: Jude Amin Utulu and Clint Cassar.Swieqi United Futsal were dominant over Birżebbuġa St Peter’s to beat them 11-0.Ezequiel Alarcon scored three goals with Brayan Rivera notching a personal double. Dylan Pace, Justin Theuma, Santiago Roller, Gregory Busuttil, Nathan Sammut Mock and Matthew Buhagiar continued to increase the score for Swieqi who kept the fourth place in the table.Referee: Andrea Naudi and Stephen Vella.In the Enemed Challenger League, Marsaskala continued to show their consistency after beating Gzira United Santa Margherita 7-4.The Southerners were always on top although the Maroons always remained behind the opponents and it was only at the end that they surrendered.Craig Pickard scored four goals for Marsaskala while Bertram Azzopardi was among the scorers twice. Zemkin Seisun added another for Marsaskala.Gzira United scored their goals through a hat-trick by Yessous Camilleri and another goal by Anthony Spiteri.Referees: Stephen Vella and Pierre Bonnici.Ta’ Xbiex Futsal are only one point away from the leaders after winning 5-0 against the Maltese under-18 selection.Prolific scorer Stefi Cale scored a hat-trick while Juan David Bautista and Felipe Andres continued to add to the score for his team.Referees: Stephen Vella and Stefania Bonnici.Sliema Futsal had to fight quite a bit to beat the Maltese under-19 team 5-4.The Maltese youngsters were very good in the first part of the game where they were in the lead but the Blues reacted in the last minutes of the game to take three very important points.Kevin Sammut scored twice while Jean Leite Lopes, Wallace Oliveira Santos and Hugo da Silva Vinicius added more goals for the Blues.The under-19 team found the net after a double by Mason Agius and other goals by Collin Sammut and Ivin Gatt.Referees: Andrea Naudi and Danilo Francalanza.
