The Enemed Women’s Futsal League ended this week withMtarfa, Lija Athletics A, Lija Athletics B and Swieqi United securing a place in the next playoffs of this competition. Despite everything, a decider between Lija Athletics B and Swieqi United will be played next week for the final third and fourth placing. Meanwhile, in the only match played at the St. Aloysious Pavilion in Birkirkara, Swieqi United beat University of Malta ACJ Group 6-2. After the University surged ahead, Swieqi had a timely reaction as they turned the score in their favour. Amy Vella and Vanessa Caneiro scored a double each with Krista Montfort and Danna Fuentes also among the scorers.
The University scored their goals through Andrea Alonso Martin and Kelly Agius Pace. Referees: Pierre Bonnici and Ray Tabone.
