Żabbar St. Patrick have confirmed the signing of 35-year-old Italian striker Mario Fontanella, marking his return to Maltese football after a three-year absence.
Fontanella is no stranger to Malta, having previously played for local rivals Floriana and Valletta. During his time with the Citizens, he won the Premier League title in the 2018/19 season, while he lifted the FA Trophy with Floriana in the 2016/17 campaign.
He also finished as the league’s top scorer in the 2015/16 season while playing for Floriana.
