Valletta secured an important 3-1 win against Tarxien Rainbows to strengthen their place in the top six, while Marsaxlokk were held to a 1–1 draw by Naxxar Lions in another YoHealth Malta Premier match.
Valletta earned an important 3-1 victory against Tarxien Rainbows in the YoHealth Malta Premier closing round. The win helped Valletta remain in the top six of the league table, while Tarxien stayed in 11th place.
Valletta took the lead in the 26th minute when Messias scored from the penalty spot after Ellul was fouled inside the box. Tarxien tried to respond, but Valletta controlled most of the play.
In the second half, Valletta increased their lead in the 58th minute when Yankam finished a good attacking move after a pass from Azzopardi. Basher added the third goal in the 74th minute with a low shot.
Tarxien managed to score a late consolation goal in the 90th minute through Musulin, but Valletta comfortably secured the three points.

Naxxar Lions…….1
Marsaxlokk and Naxxar Lions played out an entertaining 1–1 draw at the Tony Bezzina Stadium in the YoHealth Malta Premier.
Naxxar Lions took the lead in the 19th minute with a powerful long-range shot from Louis Pahama. However, the Lions were reduced to ten men in the 40th minute when Gustavo Felipe was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
Marsaxlokk improved in the second half and equalised in the 66th minute when Dodo scored from close range after a scramble inside the box.
The Southsiders had a great chance to win the match in the 70th minute, but Dodo’s penalty was saved by goalkeeper Matthias Debono. The match finished 1–1, with both teams sharing the points.
