Tarxien Rainbows have officially returned to the Maltese Premier League and are already making waves in the transfer market as they prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign. Determined to establish themselves in the top flight after their recent promotion from the Challenge League, the club has secured four international signings, with a fifth expected to be announced in the coming days.
Among the new arrivals is Colombian midfielder Johan Castaño, a player known for his technical ability and high work rate and who donned the shirts of Fgura United, Xagħra United, Swieqi United, Nadur Youngsters and Mqabba FC.
The Rainbows have also added Brazilian defender Claudio Morici, who is expected to bolster the team’s defensive structure with his strength and tactical awareness. The latter had spells with Żejtun Corinthians, Għajnsielem and Ħamrun Spartans.
Another Brazilian, Bruno Da Cruz, brings flair and creativity to the attack, giving the team an edge in the final third. He was also playing in Gozo with Għajnsielem.
Joining them is Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Donsu, who spent last season with Mġarr United. Donsu impressed many with his passing range and control in midfield, and his arrival will further strengthen the core of the team with energy and vision from the centre of the pitch.
