The first match on Sunday from Matchday 7 of the YoHealth Malta Premier League sees two sides still searching for their first win of the season, as Żabbar St. Patrick take on Gżira United at 11am at the Centenary Stadium.
Żabbar come into the match after a 3-1 defeat to Floriana. They have now lost three matches and drawn the other three, and signs point to a tough season ahead. With even the teams expected to be in the lower half showing strong performances, Żabbar will need to step up quickly to avoid slipping further.
Gżira United, meanwhile, are among the most disappointing sides so far this campaign. Despite making key signings like Maxuell Maia and Bonilha, the Maroons have only managed three points from their opening six matches and currently sit 11th in the standings.
The two sides last met in league action last season, with Gżira edging the game 2-1.
