The Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner has issued the list of players and officials who will be suspended for the upcoming YoHealth Malta Premier League fixtures following Matchday 10.
The team hit hardest is Ħamrun Spartans, who will be without three key figures for their next matches. Brazilian midfielder Ederson Bruno Domingos was sent off with a direct red card during the clash against Floriana and has been handed a three-match suspension. This means he will miss not only the fixture against Birkirkara on Friday but also the first two matches of the Top 6 Opening Round.
Spartans forward N’Dri Koffi will also sit out the Birkirkara match after accumulating four yellow cards, while Aaron Ancilleri, part of the club’s technical staff, has been suspended for two matches following his dismissal from the bench against Floriana.
Birkirkara will likewise have to cope without Sporting Director Roderick Briffa, who was sent off during the game against Tarxien Rainbows. Briffa’s suspension covers both the upcoming match against Ħamrun and the first fixture of the second phase of the Opening Round.
For Floriana, captain Dunstan Vella will miss the match against Sliema Wanderers after receiving his fourth yellow card in midweek against Ħamrun.
Valletta will be without Sava Radic and Thaylor Aldama for their clash with Żabbar St Patrick, both players having reached the yellow card limit in the match against Gżira United. St Patrick will also be missing Samuel Gomes Da Mata, who faces the same suspension after collecting his fourth booking.
