Brazilian wing-back Nhayson Huanne da Silva Rosa has officially joined Tarxien Rainbows, marking a new chapter in his career following a successful spell in Portugal’s Liga 3. The 25-year-old, originally from Rio de Janeiro, arrives in Malta after standing out with his performances for União Santarém and another top-tier Liga 3 side.
Rosa, who developed through the youth academies of Botafogo and Red Bull Brasil, made 25 appearances last season and was involved in 15 goals during his time in Portugal, a notable feat for a defender. Known for his pace, flair, and attacking contribution from the right flank, he brings energy and experience to the Rainbows’ backline.
Standing at 175 cm and favouring his right foot, Rosa has earned praise for his overlapping runs and crossing ability. His arrival is expected to bolster Tarxien Rainbows’ tactical options ahead of the upcoming season.
